I'm a Taiwaner

I am a Taiwaner not Taiwanese, I come from Taipei .

問過老美老師這個問題，他的答案是字尾"ese"，是有點輕視的意思(但年輕的一輩已漸漸淡忘)，或許古字典裡才查得到，不過既然別人都這樣說，就不妨改一改吧！當多學一個單字。


英語稱呼另一種劣等民族時，就是把結尾用 ese，相同的 Japanese、Vietnamese也是就像我們叫老外阿多仔，是因為日本人看不起老外，稱他們A dog，日文發音就變成阿多仔。

日本人早已不自稱Janpanese，因為他們也知道這是不好的意思，於是他們自稱Janpanish. Korean 他們就不用 ese 結尾。

但後來台灣人這個詞出現，不知道是誰開始用Taiwanese這種稱呼劣等民族的用語(也許現在的英 文 老師也不知道)，就一直延用到今。

這種歧視性的用法，我從很多老外口中証實。

建議大家把Taiwanese 這個詞，改成Taiwaner

前兩天 xx 的英 文 老師告訴他們，以前英文教科書用法有錯誤，因為Chinese是鄙視的用法，聽說現在教科書將修正為Chinish，
I.e. 要將『ese』改為『ish』，然Taiwaner也是可以的。

從我第一次跟老外接觸到現在，我都說 I'm a Taiwaner. That means people fromTaiwan.! Just like New Yorker.

我的老外朋友向別人介紹我時，也說：He's a Taiwaner，碰到不懂的，就補一句：Just like New Yorker, people from Taiwan .

你要讓別人知道你是臺灣來的，或許有更好的稱呼，但這個不錯。

我是說響亮又容易懂的字來代表台灣人。

New Yorker = 紐約客
Taiwaner = 台客 ?
