Poland's syndrome is a birth defect characterized by underdevelopment or absence of the chest muscle (pectoralis) on one side of the body and (but not always) webbing of the fingers (cutaneous syndactyly) of the ipsilateral hand.

PMMCF which is commonly used in reconstruction of head and neck defect, therefore, is not suitable for these patient with Poland's syndrome.
