Dangerous Diabetes Drug AVANDIA(Rosiglitazone)

The WORSTPILLS.ORG in USA is starting a petiton to FDA to ban AVANDIA immediately.
"The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) should immediately ban the dangerous diabetes drug Avandia (rosiglitazone) because it can cause death from liver failure and has many other life-threatening risks that far outweigh its benefits, Public Citizen said in a petition filed Oct. 30, 2008, with the agency."

ACTOS(pioglitazone) a drung in the same family as AVANDIA is also not recommended for treatment of Type-2 diabetes. The safer ones recommended are GLUCOPHAGE(metformin) and GLUCOTROL(glipizide).

控制不了就打胰島素吧
我現在的患者打胰島素的比率增加很多
因為 glitazone 不旦問題多多 效果也不怎麼好

本院早就把這類藥給停掉了
當然不是有先見之名
只是藥價比較貴 （無盡漩渦）

現在有超長效型的胰島素可以使用
很方便上手
病人接受度很高

胰島素的確是最好的選擇,
Rosiglitazone 早就惡名昭彰不建議使用,
